PIPEDA PRIVACY NOTICE
Last updated: August 30, 2026
This notice describes how PopesandPawns.com (the "Site") handle personal information under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act ("PIPEDA") and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act ("PIPA Alberta"). It supplements our Privacy Policy.
The Site is the property of Carl Sarfi and is operated by Bullet Proof Marketing Systems, Inc., a corporation registered in the Province of Alberta, Canada, doing business under the Alberta-registered trade names Ryzenda (the "organization," "we," "us," "our"). We are the entity responsible for personal information under our control.
1. Accountability
We are accountable for personal information in our possession or control, including information transferred to third-party service providers for processing on our behalf. Our Privacy Officer can be reached through the Contact page.
2. Identifying purposes
We collect personal information for the following purposes:
- To respond to messages you send through the Contact page (name, email, subject, message).
- To meet legal, regulatory, and accounting obligations.
3. Consent
We collect, use, and disclose your personal information with your knowledge and consent, except where PIPEDA permits otherwise. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to provide certain services.
4. Limiting collection
We collect only the personal information necessary for the purposes identified above. We do not collect payment card details, we do not operate user accounts on this Site, and we do not retain IP-address logs.
5. Limiting use, disclosure, and retention
Personal information is used and disclosed only for the purposes for which it was collected, unless you consent otherwise or the law requires it. We retain contact messages only as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period thereafter to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs.
6. Accuracy
We take reasonable steps to keep personal information accurate, complete, and up to date for the purposes for which it is used. You may ask us to correct anything you have sent us through the Contact page.
7. Safeguards
We protect personal information with security safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including access controls, encryption in transit, database row-level security, and vetted service providers.
8. Openness
This notice, together with the Privacy Policy, describes our policies and practices relating to the management of personal information. It is available at any time from the Site footer.
9. Individual access
On written request through the Contact page, and subject to verification of your identity, you have the right to be informed of the existence, use, and disclosure of your personal information, and to access that information. You may challenge its accuracy and completeness and have it amended as appropriate. Certain limited exceptions permitted by PIPEDA (for example, information subject to solicitor-client privilege or that would reveal personal information about another individual) may apply.
10. Challenging compliance
You may address a concern about our compliance with PIPEDA to our Privacy Officer through the Contact page. If your concern is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at www.priv.gc.ca, or, for matters within provincial jurisdiction, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta at www.oipc.ab.ca.
Cross-border processing
Some service providers we rely on may process personal information outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union. When personal information is processed in another jurisdiction, it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction, including lawful requests for access by government authorities. We select providers that maintain comparable protection for personal information.
